Sage MIP Fund Accounting Basic Training

Completion of the five-day basic training class is required to become a Sage Software Business Partner.

Basic Training Dates:
February 13-17, 2006
March 27 - 31, 2006
June 19 - 23, 2006

Participants will learn how to:

  • Install and implement the software.
  • Set up, track, and maintain accounting transactions, vendors, and customer records.
  • Effectively design a database to produce financial statements.
  • Produce Accounts Payable and Payroll checks.
  • Produce Customer receipts and billing reports.
  • Produce year end tax reports.
  • Design custom forms, process after the fact allocations, and track assets.
  • Import and export transactions from third-party products.

The cost of Business Partner Basic Training is $2,600.00. There is a separate authorization fee of $5,000.00 ($2,500.00 for existing Sage Software partners) due at the time of registration.

Basic training consists of the following:

  • Pre-assessments
  • 13 MIP Fund Accounting eLearning classes (each class is approximately 2 hrs in length) and Orientation to eLearning
  • Self-study assignment section
  • Classroom training (5 days) in Austin, Texas
  • Assessment on core modules and obtain an accumulative passing score of 80%.

The pre-assessments, eLearning classes, self-study problem assignments are to be completed prior to attending the classroom class in Austin, TX. The self-study problem assignments and pre-assessments will be provided upon registration. Please reference the Business Partner Training Registration Form for a listing of the eLearning courses.

Once attendees have completed registration for a training session, they are expected to attend that session. Attendees who need to reschedule Basic Training will be charged a $250.00 rescheduling fee. The rescheduling fee must be paid before an attendee will be allowed to reschedule their Basic Training session. The cancellation fee will be half of the fee for the Basic Training class.
